St. Louis has a terrific program for youth in grades 3 through 12 for boys and girls. The CYO Basketball Program starts in October and runs into February. This is a program primarily for registered parishioners and St. Louis School families. We will be adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Diocese with regard to player eligibility.
Teams will practice once a week and play games on Saturdays and Sundays (dates and teams TBD).
St. Louis teams will play other parishes throughout the Diocese. Our philosophy is to learn the game, teamwork, sportsmanship, as well as have fun. There are no cuts as everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy being involved.
We need coaches, managers, team parents, & volunteers to work with the young people as well as help in the administration of the program. Please contact pslouis.cyo@dor.org if you would like to become involved in this exciting ministry.
Note: All volunteers (CYO Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Team Managers) working with children MUST go through Diocesan Creating a Safe Environment training and background check.
Our philosophy at St. Louis is that athletics and recreation are important to the wellbeing of the person. Sports and competition can help us to grow into a better person, but we must always put people before competition. We do not have any team that requires making cuts or limiting the participation of many in favor of the few. We recognize the competitive world our young people are raised in, and we believe that our Church must be a safe haven where kids and youth are free to play and enjoy, and where families can refresh.
CYO Basketball registration has ended for the 2022-23 Year.
Please note that there is a $25.00 cancellation fee.

Pope Paul VI said: "Sports well understood and practiced …. contribute to the development of the whole person because it demands generous effort, careful self-control, mastery and respect for others, complete commitments and team spirit. These values contribute to the building of tomorrow's well-ordered society which we have characterized as the 'civilization of love'.”
It is with great pleasure that our parish provides constructive opportunities that lead to positive youth development through CYO Athletic Services. It is our mission to provide a program that emphasizes the proper ideas of ethical conduct and sportsmanship. We want to offer all children in the parish and school the opportunity to develop their spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing as a team player. We emphasize that an athletic event is "just a game" and we provide coaches and adult role models who instill the proper respect, courtesy, and leadership that our young people need and deserve.
Together, the parish, young St. Louis players, and all our generous volunteers will work together to build a program we are proud of and is worthy of the St. Louis name!!!
