On March 25, 2025, the Feast Day of the Annunciation, the Most Reverend Salvatore R. Matano, Bishop of Rochester, announced the reappointment of Fr. Mitch as Pastor of St. Louis Parish.

"It is my fervent hope and expectation that this assignment will continue to be spiritually beneficial for the faithful of Saint Louis Parish, and for you," said Bishop Matano. "As you continue your sacerdotal ministry in this parish, keep before your eyes the image of the Good Shepherd, Who gave His life totally for our salvation."

"I am willing to help you, [St. Louis Parishioners], glorify our God and continue to minister to all of you," said Fr. Mitch, who has served as a priest for more than 43 years. "I appreciate very much your support of our parish and school missions. ... "May God continue to bless each of you and your family and friends."                           

The reappointment will conclude on June 24, 2031.
